Beginning in April, furniture manufacturer IKEA will introduce home furnishings, with the ability to charge your phone wirelessly, to Europe and North America.

“Our belief is that mobile phones are vital parts to people’s lives at home and their desire to stay connected, and Qi addresses an unmet need to keep devices powered,” said Bjorn Block, Range Manager for Lighting and Wireless Charging, at IKEA. “As a member of WPC, we value the access to the leading and most advanced global standard for wireless charging.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, you will also be able to buy separate QI charging devices for your furniture that can be installed with a few power tools. They’re a little more expensive than your average charger at €30 a pop, but think of all the stress-free years you’ll experience by not having to tear around the house in a rage because your phone charger has hidden itself again.
