When it’s time for the big day, most couples will want to get married with all of their friends and family in attendance. A normal enough desire, you’d imagine. But what about man’s true best friend? Does he (or she) get left out in the cold?

These are the important questions which were asked by Pet Sitters Ireland, who have recently launched a service that will allow you to celebrate your elevation to married life with your valued pet watching from the aisles, even though they won’t actually understand what’s going on.

Having your pet along as part of the ceremony, or for the photographs, is becoming more of a common trend these days. But it’s your big day and you don’t want to be constantly worrying about where they are or what they’re doing. Nor do you (hopefully) want to leave them cooped up in the car, with a window cracked, for the rest of the day.

Pet Sitters Ireland collect your furry friend, take them to the groomers to make sure they are looking their best (we’d love to see a gerbil with a wedding ‘do), and then transport them to the venue. And you needn’t worry – they’ll be on hand during the ceremony and the afters to ensure your pet’s best behaviour (no ruining the father of the bride’s trousers, or getting too involved with the wedding cake).
