Some good news in the midst of this unfortunate weather – Electric Ireland announced on Friday that its residential gas customers will benefit from a 2.5% decrease in standard unit prices, beginning from 1st April 2015.

The company says this drop should result in average savings of €20.83 per year for the average household using 13,800 kWh.

Jim Dollard, Executive Director of Electric Ireland, said: “Electric Ireland reduced electricity prices by 2% last November, and we are now happy to announce a reduction of 2.5% for over 130,000 Electric Ireland residential gas customers. This reinforces our commitment to offering the best value and exceptional customer care in a very competitive market.”
