An estimated 3,000 people are set to attend the Dublin Web Summit which began yesterday, October 17 in the RDS.
The two day conference is thought to be worth E12million to the local economy through a mixture of investments, job creation, accommodation and entertainment.
Dublin ’s Web Summit is one of the world’s largest technology conferences and includes keynote speeches from the founders of Skype, Flipboard and Pinterest as well as senior figures at Google, Facebook and Microsoft. There will also be 200 international speakers and attendees from 50 plus countries around the world.
The Dublin Web Summit committee describe the event as an excellent networking opportunity and a great way to create value for your business. The conference has numerous networking opportunities such as networking events, breakfasts, dinners and parties. The event could allow companies to take their idea to the next level. The event ultimately will benefit small companies looking to gain interest in their products.
The event will coincide with a startup competition where 100 firms will pitch to judges including the co-founders or YouTube and Bebo.
