Quitting smoking

Quit Smoking

It’s 2015 and there really is no doubt – smoking is an incredibly harmful habit that hurts both your health and that of those around you, as well as your wallet.

Quit.ie is a great resource for those who want more information about how they can quit – tips and tricks, supports and treatments, support groups and high risk situations.

They also have a handy tool that allows you to calculate the daily cost of your habit, and what that money could get you if spent elsewhere. For example, spending €10 on cigarettes each day adds up to a fairly hefty €3,650 per year – more than enough for a decent holiday away in the sun, or a chance to reduce your debt levels.

For mobile users there’s a good choice of apps to keep track of how much you’ve saved since you quit, such as QuitNow!
