There was some good news for Galway this morning with the announcement that Japanese medical device firm Goodman Medical is set to create 115 new jobs in the city. Goodman Medical Ireland will create the jobs in manufacturing, sales and marketing, and research and development over the next five years in the MervueBusiness Park plant on the outskirts of Galway city as part of a Ђ1.1m investment.
Goodman Medical Ireland was established in 2004 and currently employs 56 workers manufacturing cardiology products such as catheters and stents at the Galway plant. With this new investment Galway will become the firm’s sales and marketing centre for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
