Scratching your head over what to do this weekend? On Saturday morning (September 5th) the Frontline Emergency and Security Services Eire Forum (FESSEF) parade will feature firefighters, paramedics, prison officers, Gardaí and other emergency workers marching through the city streets from O’Connell Street to Trinity College, starting from 10.30am (assembly in Parnell Square at 9.45am).
In Trinity you’ll find information stands, emergency service vehicles, and lectures on a variety of topics, including Dublin Fire Brigade and its role in the revolutionary years between 11am and 4pm. Having attended last year’s parade we can only assume that this year’s event will be just as much fun and, best of all, it’s free!
