Lidl’s super weekend savers

That post-Christmas budget can be a tough pill to swallow. You’ve exhausted your funds on presents and sweet things, and January is the time to pay for it. Luckily, if you’re crafty and astute, there are ways to make a little back. Live your life by price cuts and bargains. This weekend at Lidl, for example, avail of some products cut to half price, such as smoked and unsmoked rashers, still spring water, and a selection of nappies for parents. You’ll make up those lost Christmas euros and cents in no time.

January pampering

Christmas may be the time for pampering oneself, but surely January of all months is when it is needed most? You’re back to work, but have no money. The weather outside is wet and cold, and the days still haven’t been extended to their summer-length glory. January is the month for a pick-me-up. Log onto to Boots.ie to avail of some pampering products with up to 50 per cent off, such as a Champneys Spa Treatment set, down 50 per cent to €32.50, or a Zoella Lazy Days Fragranced Candle & Socks set which is reduced from €22 to €11.

Gas bargain

Good news for Irish gas users – Switcher.ie notes that Flogas has launched the country’s cheapest natural gas-only deal, with a 22% discount for new customers. That means that the average gas bill drops from €923.74 per year to €746.62. Happy days.
