Island retreat

Enjoy life on an Irish island this autumn, with a two-night stay for two at Lusty Beg Island, Co Fermanagh, on offer via LivingSocial for €115 (reduced from €264.49). That includes a full Irish breakfast each morning, while 40 minutes of a relaxing Voya sea salt bath treatment is reduced to £10 (€11). Kids under five can stay for free, and those aged between 5 and 12 will cost £15 per night.

If you don’t want to kick back and relax there’s plenty to do, including archery, canoeing, off-road driving and trips on a rib boat. For more information and terms and conditions, see livingsocial.ie.

Free Spider-Man

If you’re a Sky TV customer and superhero movie fan, you can grab a free digital and DVD copy of The Amazing Spider-Man from the Sky Store this week. This one’s the reboot starring Andrew Garfield – a perfect Saturday evening film for the kids (big or small).

Lidl’s mega sale

It would seem that Lidl is trying to make room for some new inventory with its ‘mega sale’ this week, offering up to 50% off several items. The most interesting are the Canon PowerShot SX430 IS digital camera (including a case) for €199.99 (reduced from €249.99), and a George Foreman grill reduced from €49.99 to €29.99.

Fly away

If the cheap flights to New York we spotted aren’t of interest but you’d like to see a different part of the US, you’re in luck. Roundtrip flights from Dublin to Las Vegas this winter could be yours from €289 roundtrip, or €287 if you take off from Shannon and leave a month or two earlier.

Or, if you prefer a more exotic location, you could take advantage of €131 roundtrip flights between Dublin and Tel Aviv on limited dates this December, flying with Aegean Airlines.
